For mild cosmetic corrections, Shine clear aligners are also available. Shine Small, up to 20 aligners, is listed at €1,990, while broader Shine treatment is listed from €2,900. Shine is not intended to replace comprehensive Invisalign treatment when the bite or complex movements need correction.
These prices are informative. Your final price depends on the diagnosis, treatment plan and any procedures needed before or during orthodontic treatment. We provide a written recommendation and quotation before treatment begins.
What affects the price of Invisalign?
The main factor is the complexity of orthodontic treatment, not the number printed on an advertisement. The following points can change the package and final quotation:
- Diagnosis and bite: aligning a few front teeth is different from correcting a deep bite, open bite, crossbite or a large overjet.
- One arch or both: limited treatment in one arch costs less, but treating only one arch is not appropriate if it would compromise the bite.
- Number and type of movements: complex rotations, root control and vertical movements can require more planning, attachments and refinements.
- Treatment duration: longer, more complex plans usually require more aligners and controls.
- Specialist planning: a digital simulation must be reviewed and adjusted clinically; it is not an automatic plan.
- Additional procedures: extraction, mini-screws, impacted teeth or combined surgical-orthodontic treatment can add €1,000–€2,000.
- Dental health: active gum disease, decay or other problems must be treated before teeth are moved.
This is why a reliable price can only follow an examination. The least expensive package is not necessarily safe or capable of achieving the required result.
What is included in the Invisalign price?
The OrthoDental Invisalign treatment price includes the clinical steps needed to plan, deliver and monitor active aligner treatment:
- the first free Invisalign consultation;
- consultation with the orthodontic team;
- 3D scanning with an iTero scanner;
- specialist-led digital treatment planning;
- production of the aligners in the selected package;
- regular orthodontic controls;
- progress scans during treatment, commonly around three and six months;
- routine and clinically necessary unscheduled reviews related to active treatment;
- refinement aligners according to the selected package and written offer.
Before signing, you receive a written offer that states the selected package and included treatment. If your teeth do not follow the first digital sequence exactly, a new scan and refinement series may be needed. This is common in aligner treatment and is not automatically a sign of failure.
Are retainers included in the Invisalign price?
Retention is charged separately. This is important because the previous English article incorrectly said retainers were included. The current price list separates active Invisalign treatment from the appliances used to maintain the result afterwards.
Current listed retention options include a clear retention foil at €50 per arch, a standard fixed retention wire at €100 per arch, a hybrid-ceramic retention wire at €150 per arch, Vivera retainers for one arch at €300 for three aligners, and Vivera retainers for both arches at €400 for three pairs. The appropriate option depends on the final result and your orthodontist’s recommendation.
Retention is necessary after Invisalign and after fixed braces because teeth can move again. Read our guide to retention after orthodontic treatment.
Can Invisalign be paid in instalments?
Yes. Eligible treatment can be divided into up to 84 monthly instalments through Leanpay, subject to approval and the provider’s conditions. After the examination and written treatment plan, the clinic can help you check the available payment options.
Spreading the cost does not change the clinical recommendation. The correct package is selected according to diagnosis and treatment needs, while financing determines how the agreed amount is paid.
Invisalign for adults
Invisalign may be suitable for adults with mild, moderate and many complex orthodontic problems. Common reasons for treatment include crowding, spaces, relapse after previous braces, deep bite, open bite and crossbite.
Many comprehensive cases take around 12–18 months, but duration varies. A short cosmetic plan can finish sooner, while a difficult bite or combined treatment can take longer. See the full guide to how long Invisalign treatment takes.
Suitability cannot be decided from photographs alone. The orthodontist needs to assess the bite, roots, bone and gums, and may need appropriate radiographs in addition to the 3D scan.
Invisalign First for children
Invisalign First is designed for selected children in the mixed-dentition stage, when both primary and permanent teeth are present. Phase 1 is currently listed at €2,700 and phase 2 at €3,250.
Early treatment is not necessary for every child. A specialist assessment determines whether growth, eruption, arch development or a developing bite problem makes early intervention useful. The price and timing should follow that diagnosis, not age alone.
Is Invisalign abroad really cheaper?
Sometimes, but not automatically. A foreign clinic can have a lower treatment price, yet the offer may cover a limited package, one arch, fewer controls or another aligner brand. Travel, time away from work, replacement aligners, refinements and retention all affect the total.
Invisalign is not a one-visit procedure. Treatment lasts for months and requires monitoring. If the clinic is difficult to reach when an attachment comes off or teeth stop tracking, the cheapest initial offer may become expensive to finish.
Compare written offers for the same diagnosis, package, both arches, diagnostics, controls, refinements and retention. We have prepared a dedicated English guide comparing Invisalign treatment in Croatia and Slovenia; it is being clinically checked before publication.
Why choose OrthoDental for Invisalign?
OrthoDental has managed more than 3,000 Invisalign cases and is an Invisalign Diamond Blue 2 Apex Provider, placing the team in the top 1%. More importantly, every case is based on specialist-led digital planning.
The digital plan is prepared and clinically overseen by the orthodontic team led by Gordana Čižmek. The plan considers the bite, smile, function and long-term stability—not only the position of the front teeth. You can view a simulation at the first consultation, but the team will also explain limitations, alternatives and what the price includes.
Where is Invisalign available in Slovenia?
