I am Bojan Mihelač, a qualified dental hygienist at OrthoDental Ljubljana – Situla. My professional path began in dental technology: I completed my dental-technician education and professional examination in 2015.
I graduated in oral hygiene in 2020 and completed the professional examination for dental hygienists in 2021. My dental-technology background gives me a broader understanding of teeth and prosthetic restorations.
I professionally remove tartar and soft deposits and, where appropriate, polish or clean surface staining. During the visit I consider the amount of deposits, tooth sensitivity and the condition of the gums.
A major part of the appointment is practical home-care guidance. I help patients select and use a toothbrush, interdental brushes or dental floss according to their individual needs.
I combine technical knowledge and precision with a personal approach. Because gum health, daily habits and cleaning aids differ between patients, the guidance is adapted rather than generic.
My aim is not simply to remove deposits. I want patients to understand their oral health and leave with a realistic routine they can maintain between visits. Outside work I enjoy cooking, working in the vineyard and football.
