Pericoronitis:<\/strong> Pericoronitis is inflammation of the tissue surrounding a partially erupted tooth, often a wisdom tooth<\/strong>. Although pericoronitis itself is not an abscess, in advanced cases it can lead to an abscess if the infection penetrates deeper into the tissues<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
